If I could be stranded in the desert with anyone, it would be...

Like in their new "Congratulations" video.
They are so weird, but I still LOVE them!

Hungover Owls, the new Hipster Puppies.

Hungover Owls, you were all the rage among Internet users yesterday. Not exactly sure what the fuss was all about, but I'll admit, you do serve as a striking reminder of what the morning following one-to-many tequila shots looks like. Oh TUMBLR bloggers, what will you think of next?

TropCOOL

Check out my friend, and newly married gal, Julia's blog. Not only am I envious of her ability to capture such moving stills, I'm also a little jealous that she got to hang with and photograph Phoenix (yes, as in the band, not the place). Her style covers a wide range, but I'm especially in awe of her soft focus, almost dream-like wedding photography. See her images and more at her blog Trop Cool or at her website. I'll be keeping tabs on you Julia, can't wait to see what you do next!

Beagle Love for the Day

My good friend Ashley Peele graciously reminded me that my little puppy Hazel is a Puggle meaning she's half Pug and half Beagle. She pointed out that I have "Pug Love" posts but I'm skimping on the "Beagle Love." So today's post, is all about the precious face, floppy eared little munchkins. Because after all, I do have a soft spot in my heart for Beagles.

I'd also like to dedicate this post to Ashley's old dog, Pepper (pictured in the last photo).
Miss you little girl.
And your long walks around the yard : )

Chelsea Market, NYC

In all of my trips to New York, I some how managed to completely bypass the Chelsea Market. I'd heard about it many of times, even made it a point to go once or twice, but never made it. Well, lo and behold a recent business trip to Manhattan lead me to the Maritime Hotel to meet with directors for a shoot. The Maritime Hotel just happened to be right across the street from the Chelsea Market. So, what did I do on my lunch break? Well, besides tasting a lobster roll from the Lobster Place directly followed by a red velvet cupcake from Ruthy's, I took a few, not so candid, photos of the market. It's such a cool modge podge of shops, eateries and interesting people. Definitely go next time your in the city (although, I'm assuming most visitors to the city have already scratched this off their "to-do" list) but if not, check it out!

Guilty of Comical Activity

Hmmm... what am I guilty of? Blogging after dark? That's lame. Let me think of something better and I'll get back to you.

Daily inspiration with a hint of maroon.

Inspiring finds.

Explore, Create & Donate

I'm super intrigued by these photos on The Daily Foto Project. Melissa, a self-taught photographer, takes one picture a day, for every single day of the year. You can find her images on her Etsy page, as well as follow her on Twitter or find her on Facebook. Plus, for every photo you buy, she'll donate 5% of the proceeds to a charity of your choice, hence the "create and donate" idea. Beautiful lifestyle photos that give back? Sounds like a terrific idea to me.

I'm absolutely loving these photos by Andres Gramer. The textures and patterns are mesmerizing and the composition ideas are just so fun and unique. Check out more of his work as well as many other talented photographers at Sarah Kaye Represents.
