Loving Lu Biscuits

Thank you Angelle for introducing me to Lu Biscuits.
Read about how these chic little cookies came about (it's a cute story!) and take a look at this lovely, French-inspired packaging by Erin Fetherston.

And I thought dark chocolate and graham cracker couldn't get any better...

Swirl by Daily Candy

So I'm totally obsessed with online sample sales. They're addictive and run a high risk to any attempt I might have to save money. So if you shop on sites like Gilt, Rue La La and Hautelook, then you'll absolutely love Swirl by Daily Candy.

I have an invitation to Swirl, right here, waiting for you!

Also, join me in some retail therapy with these invites as well, if you don't have one yet:

TGIF

It's Friday!
And I'm pretty exhausted from a busy work week, but definitely ready for a fun weekend!

Fall in Love with Fall

Yesterday was the first official day of fall and I couldn't be more excited! I die for the cooler days, crisp smells of wood burning and apple cider and most importantly the muted tans, oranges and browns you see in abundance during this time of year.

Welcome to my favorite season!

Pug Love for the Day

So I've been searching for a Halloween costume for Hazel for this year (a bit early, but hey, I was bored...) and stumbled upon this Etsy shop called I Lick You with quite possibly the most adorable pugs ever. Which of these silly outfits should I get for Hazel?

Daydreaming in the Sleepy Poet

If you know me or if you simply follow this blog, you're probably aware that I'm completely enamored with vintage and antique shopping. So today, I drove down to Charlotte to check out The Sleepy Poet Antique Mall. I spent the better part of my afternoon getting lost in ornate furnishings, aged electronics and old vinyls. Absolutely amazing stuff, all at incredibly affordable prices. There's also a clothing section inside (if you can find it in the giant maze of a warehouse) called Kitsch-y Cool Vintage. And while I could have easily dropped a couple thou, that is if I had a cute little house to furnish, I was good today and ended up leaving with a chic Parisian inspired frame and black stirrup pants... for less than $10! Definitely check out The Sleepy Poet if you live anywhere in the area. And while you're at it, check out a nifty little
part of Charlotte with some more eclectic shops and eateries on Central Avenue, only about 10 minutes away.

Vacation's on the brain.

Okay okay, so I just got back from vacation last week, but it's Friday afternoon, work is slow and I can't keep myself from day dreaming. Oh where oh where will I travel to next?

What a smart idea!

Whoever thought of this is genius, especially in today's digital world, why wouldn't you put a QR Code that links to your website, blog or Twitter account on your business card? And not too mention, integrate it into the aesthetics and design of the card?
Genius, with a capital "QR-G."

Black Ink

During my trip last week to Boston, I took the train, I'm sorry, the "T", to check out Harvard Square. While getting lost in vintage stores, coffee shops and a bustling crowd of hipster Ivy Leaguers (my favorite kind), I stumbled across Black Ink, possibly the coolest shop in all of Massachusetts. Please note, I say this without ever having ventured far beyond Boston Proper, but it was one of the coolest stores I'd come across in a long time. In my attempt to take pictures for a blog post of said store, filled with totally random, but useful, items, I was shot down, only to leave with a few blurry images of the shelves. But discouraged I was not, because Black Ink has an online store! Check out some of these cool finds...
