Here is a picture from our Yard Sale last weekend. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for Spring cleaning (or if you just need an excuse to sit outside with your friends on a beautiful day). Plus, I made about $150. Not too shabby.

So long coffee, it's been fun...
In an effort to break off my lifelong love affair with coffee, I opted for organic fresh squeezed OJ this morning during my breakfast at Belly, a great breakfast/lunch stop in VA Highlands that evolved from a General Store. They were almost out of OJ but had an entire pitcher of grapefruit juice, so the lady at the counter suggested I mix the two to make a full cup. Why had I never thought of this before? It's the best combination ever. It's like mixing Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper or Lemonade and Sweet Tea. Not only was it the perfect balance between sweet and sour, but it was refreshing and energizing (more than I can say about my daily latte). Now, if only I could divorce that obese husband of mine - carbs!

A friend sent me Matt & Kim's new music video for their song Lessons Learned. At first I thought the whole stunt was staged, but it is in fact very real (minus the ending) and... very liberating.

Inspiration for my website.
Here are a few images I found on one of my favorite design blogs - Creature Comforts. I'm hoping to create a similar mood board for my website. I love these colors and the antique feel of the prints. Please feel free to send more inspiring images my way. Thank you.
Etsy Love for the Day
I found these great prints by Stephanie Levy on Etsy.com. She uses bright colors, fun patterns, line illustration, and collages to create these beautiful interiors. A few of these images almost remind me of Henri Matisse (one of my personal favs!) In fact, one of the images below is titled Matisse's Bedroom. Best of all, her prints are pretty inexpensive - it might be a good present for Mother's Day.

I'm reliving college vicariously through Text From Last Night.com.
It's hysterical, enjoy!

Sprint's NOW Network
I really like the new Sprint campaign - the NOW Network (by Goodby, Silverstein, & Partners). Sprint is the world's 3rd largest cellular network and has a lot of competition with AT&T and Verizon's strong ad campaigns. But I think the idea of the NOW Network is innovative and very interactive, letting Sprint customers connect with what's going on in the world around them. The homepage is super fun. In case you were wondering how many babies were being born today, it will let you know. Right now it's 8,874. What's the most commonly used word? It's "the." And how many tons of eggs are being produced today? Yep, they'll tell you that too. The TV commercials are great as well. So check out the website or watch the video below - it's what everyone is doing, NOW.
Bootsals or Bandals? Which is it?
I love boots. I would wear them all year round if the heat wasn't a factor. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered and purchased these. Apparently, someone was feeling the same way and decided to do something about.

Creative Spaces
Is it a carnival? A mini-golf course? A spaceship? Nope. These fantasy-like spaces are actually offices. Check out some of the most awe inspiring shops in the world. Maybe one day I'll be employed and working in a place like this.

My Tattoo
My new tattoo is a pilcrow sign, the symbol to designate a new paragraph. It's located on my right wrist and will serve as a reminder that I can always have new beginnings, friendships, interests, ideas, and fresh starts wherever, whenever - that I can always start new paragraphs and chapters in my life.
P.S. Thanks to Ashley, Angelle, & Jeff for coming with me to get it!

My Favorite Place (the actual place)
I have just discovered my new favorite place in Atlanta. And coincidentally, it's called My Favorite Place. It's a a vintage store, or should I say vintage warehouse, filled with fabulous finds all at incredibly reasonable prices. It's located on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. near the car dealerships in an area called Antique Row. Check it out, even if it's simply for inspiration.

What happens in Vegas, gets posted on my blog.
In addition to my trip to New York, I also spent a few days of my spring break in Las Vegas. My close group of friends from college headed out to Sin City for a weekend of glitz, glam, and debauchery (aka Valerie's Bachelorette Weekend). Needless to say, I am completely broke, but did come back with some interesting stories and great memories, well, from what I can remember. Here are some pictures from Disneyland for Adults.
another fabulous New York trip
Last week, I went to New York to visit friends, check out a few advertising agencies, and play in Williamsburg and the city. Here are a few highlights.
Swimming Pool at PS1
Crumbs (so delicious, we went twice!)
5 Pointz (aka the Graffiti Mecca)
Walking the Brooklyn Bridge
Carrie Bradshaw's Apt (well, her fake apt)
Winning Bingo and a round of Tequila shots for my table at Tortilla Flats
Snickers Ads - everywhere! (Thank you Chiat Day for making MY day snacktabulous.)
*This ad was a personal favorite.
MoMA, Jackson, love you. (And Ash, I love you too.)
