So my birthday is coming up in a few weeks and there's something a I really didn't expect to get this year... a new zodiac sign. That's right. Astronomers have claimed to have found a 13th constellation, a new sign on the Zodiac Calendar called Ophiuchus. As a result of the additional sign, all dates on the Zodiac Calendar shifted, causing many people's astrology signs to change.
And apparently, this devout Aquarius is now a Capricorn. When I heard the news, I immediately read over the Capricorn personality traits, only to find very few I could relate to. As an Aquarius, I was cool, calm and creative. Now, as a Capricorn, I'm rigid, controlling and determined. And although the latter also claimed to be "very organized" (which I am), I still believe I'm a true Aquarius at heart. What do you think? Did your sign change? If so, are you happy with the shift? Or do you think this Zodiac controversy is a just huge PR stunt? I'd love to hear what your opinion.

Hey Allie! I am a new "Ophiuchus!" I just barely slipped in (my birthday is Dec. 16 and Ophiuchus ends on the 17th.) I liked being a Sagitarius :(
Love your blog and miss you! :)
Ash! You're the new sign? How fun! But I'm with ya, I kind of like my old sign too. This is probably all a big hoax anyway, haha.
actually, our signs haven't really changed. there are two different "churches," if you will, of astrology. one is the famous version we all know about, and our signs for that are all staying the same (yay!) the other version (with the new sign) is superobscure and rarely practiced. trust me. i'm a virgo. i nerdishly researched it :)
